C&E Nomad shave soap

Gents, I recently picked up a bowl of Nomad at C&E. My son wore this cologne a few years ago. I did not remember the scent since my son has been gone almost 5 years. I opened the bowl and the scent came back. It's a little on the spicy side but fresh. Not bad for $18 including the bowl.

I have been shaving with it for 3 days straight. I like this soap. It easily lathers and the razor glides across the face without effort. The scent is wonderful.

Austin, I had a very similar discovery a few months ago. I milled it into an old stick and the results are just superb. I think it has a lovely fragrance and it lathers a ton.

I love the scent of Nomad. It's a cologne that I used to wear regularly, but only wear sporatically now since Montblanc Presence for Men is my regular scent. As for C&E, I'm also a huge fan of the West Indian Limes cologne as well.

Curiously, I've never tried the Nomad shaving soap, but hope to, soon -- especially after your post, Austin. I used the sandalwood soap in the past, but, because I didn't lather properly (pre-B&B days), I'd always thought the soap to be not very slick, causing my razor to skip over my skin. I know better now, and it's become one of my favourites in my rotation.

If I remember correctly, the balm (and possibly all the other C&E balms, but I'm only familiar with this one) contains witch hazel..

I love the balm, both scent and effect, and I use it regularly. I have not usd the soap for a while as I love the lather I get with MWF.

Does the Nomad soap smell like the cream or the AS Balm?

I have the balm and the soap and the balm is a tad stronger than the soap. Soap pre-lather has a nice sent but mix and lather is a softer smell. I too love this combo and so does the wifey (she picked out).
