I hope this is okay to post here. In the past, I have been appreciative to hear of sub-par experiences with shave gear retailers, and I hope I may spare someone the headache I got with this one.
I have used Edwin Jagger Sandalwood A/S lotion for a while. Really good stuff.
A few months ago, I ordered a bottle as a gift for a family member from a Amazon vendor called FGP.
First package arrived smashed because they shipped it in a paper envelope. That works fine for a lot of items, not so much for a glass bottle. I contacted FGP Customer Service via email, but got no reply. I called the phone number they listed only to hear “The Magic Jack subscriber you dialed is not in service.”. After several days, they responded to me and sent a replacement bottle, promising to package it properly. OF course #2 arrived damaged, in another paper envelope.
I did post later 1-star feedback and I explained what had occurred. They had the nerve to post a response falsely saying I had not actually bought from them. Response makes no sense, because FGP says I bought from another vendor, and then they say I bought shave cream not A/S balm. Utter BS anyway.
My feedback is first, their reply follows.
"Would NEVER buy from this company again. Received heavy glass bottle in a paper envelope. Severely damaged on arrival. Contacted them (they make it difficult to get a response - phone number is "Not In Service") emails took days for reply. They did sent a replacement, packaged in the SAME paper envelope. Second bottle arrived smashed & leaked out. No refund. Worst. Service. Ever.

Seller Response: Customer actually bought this itemfrom another seller. We have asked them to remove feedback several times. They have not removed. We sold something completely different that wasn't even glass. We sold them the shave not the balm frustrating to say the least

The thing that really got me heated was the deceptive response to my feedback. After #2 arrived broken (I sent them pics of both side-by-side) I never heard from them, and they never refunded my money.
Lesson - order from B&B vendors and save the hassle.
