what happens when the time expires ? does the item just drop off the list & the seller decides whether to offer it again or not at a later time ?

also, has anyone noticed the huge selection of FatBoys on the Bay right now - wide price range also - Holiday season maybe ???

Firstly ,you add the item to a list(watch or wish list) then you look at these lists randomly. If the seller re-list the item there is a information which says "Seller re-listed the item" so you track it again for a reasonable price.

Yep and if you had it on your watch list retaining the information, you can email the seller and ask them if they are going to relist or you can make them an offer. In the cases where they decide to take your offer, they may or may not do the deal within ebay. I've never seen them do it outside of paypal however.

This also works for auctions that roll off the end.

I'm not advocating any of the above, just saying what I do and I knowingly accept the risks.

Yes, there are a lot of FB on the bay right now. Usually, the prices start going up closer to the end of the auction. However, I noticed a few being offered at $300 - with no bids yet.

A word of caution - Be sure you knowhow to identify the diffferences between a Slim and a Fatboy. There are plenty of the former being sold as the latter.... although the Slim IS a wonderful razor.

I often wondered if the ridiculous prices seen on some items is part of some sort of money laundering operation. I mean, $300 for a 50 year old razor. The government isn't even that dumb.

+1 and there are so many decent prices for Slim and Fatboy. For example I got a cased and shiny near mint Slim a weak ago on the 'bay. Price is $21 including shipping.
