Bucket List: DE Razors to try

British Aristocrat in Rhodium, #66 set, President, Gillette New, Aristocrat OC. I think these are really the last couple of Gillette's I want to try and to own. I'm trying to track down birth year razors from 1921 for my Grandfathers year and an L4 Slim Adjustable for my birth year. However, I think my number one bucket list razor is a Toggle. I don't have to have a pristine collectors model. I would be just fine with a user grade with no damage or pitting that I could have replated.

I'm actually starting to think I'm an open comb guy, which doesn't bode well for me wanting all of these safety bar razors. I haven't had much luck with them, even the pristine Gold Aristocrat I have was a very poor shave the first time I tried it.

Tried the Eclipse which was on my wish list for some time and nothing like having your heart crushed. The razor has a bit more bite than I like. Thanks to the member who loaned it to me(shall remain anonymous)
The other extreme...
Feather. A bit too mild for me. Had a week with it and tonight I used the Fatboy which out performed the Feather by a good measure. To the owner in Canada it goes!

Wish list: Red dot Fatboy. I LOVE Fatboy & Toggles and this is one I'd like to try one day. My two week stint with the Fatboy in the rotation has turned into two months! Bought three as back up:laugh:

The Feather is not vintage...I think he asked if we have bucket list vintage razors that we can recommend. Not sure.

Just used a Gillette British Aristocrat #16 last night for the first time. I'd recommend that one. Probably the best shave I've ever had. Great heft and balance with medium aggressiveness. What a beautiful razor too. Highly recommended. A British Aristocrat had been on my "to get" list for a long time and I finally scored a great one. Now I want a #66 too!!
