Brush ID help

I know absolutely nothing about brushes but while hunting razors yesterday, I picked up this NOS boxed brush. The labeling on the box and brush is shown in the pictures. Could anyone give me some help in ID'ing this brush? Thanks!

Nice looking boar brush. It will take about a month of daily shaves for the tips to split and soften up. Enjoy my friend.

Well, some help in the naming perhaps.
The town was Settled by Albert Veeder in 1783, it was known as Veedersburg until it was renamed for Amsterdam , Netherlands , in 1804.
