What's new

british soap production

Hi guys,

After browsing soaps online i noticed that the packaging of the edwin jaggers and taylor of old bond look a bit the same. Would it be possible that they were produced at the same place or is taylor a sub company of edwin ?

Edwin Jagger and TOBS are, to my knowledge, unrelated. Edwin Jagger software (soaps, creams, aftershave) is manufactured by Mühle in Germany. TOBS software is manufactured by Creighton's in the UK, which also manufactures products for T&H and Trumper's. EJ also uses Mühle razor heads and brush knots, but they both make their own handles.

Good call, I didn't think of that. According to the wiki TOBS soaps are made in the UK, meaning they are not manufactured by EJ/Mühle (in Germany). Also, their formula is different. All the Mühle made soaps have (Potass|Sod)ium Stearate in them, which only one of the TOBS soaps have (sandalwood, and while it has the stearates, it is a very different list still).
