British New Improved

Hey guys, is there a British version of the New Improved? I love the British NEW and prefer it to the American model and was wondering if there is a British model of its predecessor which I also love. Thanks

Yes, they did make them in England, but they were identical to the American-made ones. It wasn't really until the NEWs that the Brits started striking out on their own design-wise.

Why did they strike out on their own? Was it due to new management in USA Gillette with Autostrop/Geisman taking over the company.

I've got a British Tuckaway which is one of the New improved.
I've lately been using the head on a ATT Atlas handle and it's fast becoming one of my favorite razors to use.
I've going to get the head replated soon.
