British Badgers

It's difficult to know where to stand on this. Badgers are not endangered in the UK and if they cause bovine tuberculosis then a cull does make sense. On the other hand the science seems iffy and it would be a shame to cull them if they're not causing a problem.

Still maybe there'll be some cheaper brushes around.

Jeez, I didn't know badgers could be so gosh darned cute. Gives me even more reason to search for only NOS badger brushes.

An updated article showed up today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14204236 This made me wonder. Originally shaving brushes were made of horse hair. When there was an anthrax outbreak people panicked and stopped using horse hair brushes and started using badger hair brushes. If there's a possibility that the badger your brush came from had tuberculosis, wouldn't it be better to switch to horse hair which is cheaper, humane and has the backbone of a boar hair bush with the softness of a badger brush?
