Well, I must admit I can't make head nor tail of it.

Apparently there is a reference to some running theme or gag in the Family Guy show and since I have never seen that it may have doomed me to complete confusion. Something to do with Koolaid.

What is the box that got opened?

Who is the guy that looks like he is talking on a cell phone? Who is he talking to? Where did he come from, right in the middle of the story?

Why is there a gun?

I don't even know what I'm looking at in the next to last picture. Is that a red blood cell under a microscope?

In the last picture is it significant that the red foot is about to step on something? Is it broken glass? Does it matter?

Is that a dust storm? Is it the same one as in an earlier picture, even (apparently) many months or even years after the initial catastrophe?

Who shot JR? Was it all a dream?

I didn't intend to offend in any way. If I did, I apologize.
I just thought that you may have been reading a little too much into the comic strip. It reminded me of an English Professor I had who could analyze one paragraph into a 10 page paper. I thought that the punch line was just the kool aid guy bursting out of the wall yelling "oh yeah!"
