Braun Series 9 original and updated head cartridge. Changes over time

I purchased the 2019 Braun Series 9 shaver several years ago. It performed very well, but the one area that my Norelco S9000 cut better was the neck area. Braun has the gold middle section of the shaver head that is supposed to help lift the hair and cut those hairs. I found it only did a ok job in this area. All other areas of comfort, shave, and cleaning system I was very happy with.

The shaver cartridge on my original one was the 92B. Braun updated the cartridge with the 92S. This one has a larger opening on the gold center section of the cartridge and I have found an improvement with cutting the neck area. Has anyone else found the newer head to cut better?

I upgraded my regular Braun 9, from 2019, to the 94M cartridge (made for the new Braun 9 Pro but it fits all Braun 9's) and noticed a better performance. Now of course it was a new cartridge as well but many people on amazon and other websites seemed to like the 94 cartridge better. My previous Braun came with the 92B cartridge. Try the 94M if you get a chance. There really isn't any difference in price and if there is, then you aren't shopping at the right place.

Important, online, like amazon, buy your cartridges from the "Braun Store" (example link below - I don't get any commission!) or you will be buying cheap knockoffs of less quality. The reviews on amazon say the cheap cartridges (knockoffs) are lower in quality.

Regardless, I love my Braun 9. My skin looks so much better.

I purchased the newer head cartridge and noticed the improvement on the longer hairs on my neck. This is clearly the best electric shaver on the market. The cleaning system also gives a fresh feel to shaving after using it

The love this shaver gets must be one of the ways Braun justify such a high price here in the UK.
