boxer shorts

I typically prefer Boxer Briefs for wear in my uniform and daily wear, but I wear boxers with looser fitting jeans when I'm feeling very casual. I'd say it really depends on what you wear (outer garments) most often.

If you want the best comfort try this combination:

Boxer Shorts and "Gusset" Pants.

Discovered Gusset Pants a few years ago.

What a difference!!!

I really like the Lands End boxers made from shirt cloth. They hold up extremely well and are very comfortable. You can get them at Sears or online. The plain ones (white or blue) are a 3 pack and the patterned ones are sold separately.

i recently got into boxer briefs when i got my first pair of under armour boxer briefs. they don't ride up. they hug the thighs without constricting them. and they provide as much support as a jock strap without squashing anything. i use them in place of compression shorts when i exercise because they're cheaper than compression shorts but do the exact same thing.

I like ExOfficio and Under Armour boxer briefs. However, I've found a decent, inexpensive alternative in Champion's Active Fit boxer briefs. Light, form fitting, no chafing. For me, anyways.

This is what I use, as well. Boxer briefs all the way.

Best I've found yet is Brooks Bros. full cut oxford cloth. They last forever.

The bi-annual sale is just after X-mas, by the way, and there is a nice discount if you buy more than four, if I recall correctly.

what would some of you recommend in boxer shorts as far as comfort.

Land's End.

I have had Wal-Mart "George" brand shorts and Land's End. Land's End are very comfortable tight-weave cotton. Aside from solid silk, there's really not much to say about underwear; when it's comfortable it's comfortable.

Someone will inevitably recommend Polo or Dockers or something else that's just decent quality non-spectacular non-crap, it's all in the same category. You buy something that costs $12 a 3-pack instead of $8 a 3-pack and you're good.

I recently picked up two pairs of the BB boxer shorts. They were on sale at 50% off which means they were still $9 each. However, they are extremely comfortable and thicker than many of the other shorts that I have which I appreciate. It is also obvious that these shorts will easily last 10+ years just because the material is more substantial.

I also recently bought some Hanes 'Premium' boxer shorts. The materials is thinner that the BB and the fit is a little weird. They pull in some way from the rear when I move just so, but the most annoying this is that they are snug around the thighs while fitting just fine elsewhere (and I certainly don't have large legs). I guess I could try the next size but then the waist would a little loose and I'm afraid there would be too much fabric.

I recently picked up a couple of pairs of classic boxers, done by Liberty of London for Target. Good fabric, two-button closure at the waist, a button closure on the fly, and the usual Liberty prints. As I remember, they were $5-6 each. They've been washed a couple of times with no shrinking. A good deal for the price ...

Depends on what I am wearing.

I still like to feel a bit of "restraint".

So with Dockers or dress pants I go with boxer briefs.

With jeans I will go with regulation boxers.

Joe Boxer makes a nice boxer made from brushed cotton. Very comfortable.

For boxer briefs I prefer the trunk cut from Calvin Klein or Prodige. Mostly because they have a low rise waistband. Just can't wear underwear where the waistband comes up to the navel. I shave like an oldman, but I don't want old man underwear.

Ralph Lauren Modal boxers or boxer briefs. They are made of "modal" instead of cotton, which is something spun from beechwood, I guess. I picked up a pair at TJ Maxx, and they are the softest, most comfortable underwear I've had. They are also extremely "moisture wicking" for those sticky summer days. I actually ended up going back and buying about 10 more pair. Most internet searches show them upwards of $20 per pair, but I got mine for 6 or 7 bucks at TJ Maxx.
