Boar Vs Badger

No I really mean Boar Vs Badger, to be fair lets say that both beasts are of equal weight.
Which one would come out on top?

WOW...that is a lot of brushes and sausages, glad your'e on an island.:001_huh:

No fair I said equal weight this isn't Tyson V Duran

Do you have any more info about that beast it must weigh 700lb. I'm sure the hunters amongst us will correct me.

What about HOGZILLA here at over 1000lbs and 9 feet

Boar wins. They are some of the most aggressive meanest things around. Plus they have huge tusks and are fast!

A 500lb badger would put JCB out of business.

I agree badger baiter's have to break the animals jaw to make it a contest usually against more than fighting dog...they are mean when cornered rather than being outwardly aggressive like the Boar.

I dunno man, I've seen a video of a Badger that got bitten by a snake, then killed the snake & started eating it....
the badger became drowsy & nodded off for an hour or 2, then woke up & proceeded to eat the snake again.
I think theyre meant to be like, mythicaly tough!

I'd have to go with badger.

A wild hog is not to be trifled with, but somewhere in the back of my mind I know there's bacon, ham and pork chops inside there, and I'm sure the badger knows that too, and won't stop till he's had his fill!

P.S.- I was going to post that Hogzilla pic too. That is a ridiculously sized beast! I wouldn't go out in the woods where there are things like that about!

If a 22 lb badger will fight a bear, I don't think a 500 lb one will have much trouble with a boar of similar size. That being said javelinas are fairly small and they can be nasty little creatures.

Standing count for the boar with a stunning right cross from fighting69.

The boar is taking a hell of a roasting.

I would go for the boar; fearsome when angry even when they are relatively small. I don't think anything but men are hunting those.

Badgers are evil. And one of these weighing anywhere near what a wild boar would weigh, would basically be like a really pissed off black bear.

Where does one find a bear hair brush?

National Geographic did a CSI-esque study of Hogzilla and found that he only weighed 800lbs...

Yep...it may be happy to fight a bear but if a 300 - 500lb Grizzly wanted to decapitate something a tenth it's size I'd be really surprised if it couldn't, super aggressive or not.

There is something not quite right about that picture posted by mdunn turns out that picture is claimed to be a 1800lb beast. I'm afraid Dr Photoshop did the autopsy. Check the footprint in the foreground for correct scale for the beast.

Reality? Probably a Boar as most would dwarf a badger. In the hypothetical pound for pound sense I'd go with the :badger:.
