Bluebeard Shavette?

Firstly - is a shavette even close to a straight in terms of technique?

I really fancy just having a go to see what it's like, but absolutely don't want to shell out for a decent straight and getting it shave ready only to find out I'd rather stick with DE.

Bluebeard have shavettes for less than £10 delivered, and I can use the DE blades I already know are sharp enough.

IMO shavettes are good but are harder to use than a real straight.

They require the lightest touch and near perfect technique, any slip up and you will get cut.
