Blue Tip Question

How does the Gillette Blue Tip compare to the 1940s Super Speed? I have a '40s Super Speed and it's a decent razor. Is the Blue Tip a similar, but milder version?

I have sensitive skin and shave every day, so have somewhat minimal growth. I've had good luck with a Tech (early type). Would a Blue Tip be a good razor considering my needs?

To me they are milder shavers than a 40's SS. Based on your comments I believe a Blue Tip would serve you well. My needs are very much like yours.

It would be lighter in the hand and easier on the face than the SS. As would be a fat-handled Tech--also a very, very smooth razor.

Now that sounds like my kind of razor. I actually have 3 Gillette Fat Handle Techs from the late 1930s (one at my place, one for parts and one at my parents' place for vacation). I love the mild shave they offer.

I've got a Want to Buy or Trade up in the shave mall-- I'm going to try to get a Blue Tip user. I have a Gillette New from the 30s I'd swap for it (even with the long combs, too aggressive for me).
