Blade Disposal

I just made a soup can blade bank. Cut a hole in the top, drain out the broth (in my case) then spray painted it.
Works great. I think I got the idea from another thread on here before, but I can't seem to find it now.

Dumb question--and not to hijack the thread--but when the can is full, do you recycle it and the blades or does it get thrown out? Our local recycler takes cans but I'm not sure about blades.

Thanks.

I'm not positive but I'm sure if you tape the top very well it shouldn be a problem.

I put them in an empty beer can in my med cabinet. When it gets almost full , I will recycle to the whole thing.

I use the small altoids tins, but I live in a snowbird nesting area so the local tribal casinos have biohazard boxes in the restroom. I just pop in and dump them in there.

Mine go in here....
My daughter found it in a local Marchall's Home, $3 if I remember correct. The Ambulance was a perfect fit given the use.

I haven't filled a can yet, but I was thinking of recycling the whole thing???

And now for something completely different:
  • Sell on eBay
  • Display on fridge
  • Forget in carry-on luggage
I do the soup can thing though.

This is my owl blade bank. I got it for one dollar at the thrift store. It fits perfectly on the shelf in my medicine cabinet. When it is full I will throw the whole thing out and get a new bank.
