Yesterday was my birthday and my Dad gave me a Muhle R41! I was blown away by how beautiful this razor is. I was seriously mesmerized looking at the handle. The craftsmanship is excellent, and I like the weight, although it isn't as heavy as my DE89.
Last night I broke it in with its first shave and it was spectacular! Very smooth, drama free, close shave. Usually I will get a weeper or two that stops once I rinse, but on this particular shave I didn't have even the slightest nick. I had heard mixed things about this razor, but so far I am very impressed. This is the first modern open-comb I have tried and it will probably become one of my go-to razors.
