Birthday Fatboy Executive

I have done the occasional search for a birthdate Gillette (F-3) on Ebay to see what comes up. I have been looking for a nice Fatboy, but this month I struck gold.

Fatboy Executive

I guess because it didn't have 'Fatboy' in the listing it attracted little attention. I set a snipe and, low and behold it came in just under my max.
It arrived this week and it is in excellent condition, only a few fine scratches of the top.

I'm keeping it as a collectible, I'm not planning of shaving with it (well, maybe on my birthday...) any advice on polishing out the scratches?

... any advice on polishing out the scratches?

Yep, don't.

The gold plating is very thin and is lacquered on top. Polishing enough to remove scratches may remove the lacquer and plating. Clean it up, give it a gentle toothpaste scrub but nothing too aggressive.
