Beware of "brain farts"!!!

Gentlemen,

The following is a cautionary tale.
Started to clean up the two razors that I've just scored and thought that the rest of my rotation could probably benefit from a spring clean...why not as I had the toothbrush and Silvo polish out?

(More experienced readers will already know what to expect!)

Having buffed up the newest entries to Pumpkin's den I picked up my B3 Flare Tip and proceded to polish the cap....forgetting that it had a Feather in it!!!
Those suckers are sharp...went through 3 layers of cotton in an single swipe...my thumb was only saved by the 4th layer :scared:
I'm blaming a "brain fart" but SWMBO is declaring it early-stage Alzheimer's!

So to everyone else in B&B land...treat ALL razors as if they're loaded at ALL times (even if you swear blind that you'd already removed your last blade).

Sounds like we should apply the same logic you do when cleaning a gun...always treat it as loaded! And...don't point it at anybody unless you plan on using it! :001_tt2:

Mate, i feel for you! Almost did the same when packing up to go on a course last week - grabbed the razor from the bathroom, went to put it away and only just remembered that there was a blade there! It happens...but do we learn...? :001_smile

Shaved with a DE two days in a row because I'd been sick and just wanted a quick shave. First day had 3 weepers, second day has two plus cut finger wiping head of razor off (brain fart-forgot blade was in razor). Third day went back to str8 razor and no cuts. Diagnosis........str8s are safer than DEs!
