Best post-shave moisturizer

Use the Fat, Luke!
I am eagerly awaiting my first safety razor to come in the mail. I have previously used Mach series razors, but would get sores and angry spots, probably from shaving in all directions. I have since switched to an electric razor, but that doesn't shave close enough...

So: my skin is somewhat sensitive, though all my problems cleared up once I switched to the electric razor. I think that the safety razor will be far better on my skin than a Mach, but I was just wondering if anyone has any post-shave cream recommendations to keep my skin happy. Any tips?

Thanks!

I'd suggest making sure you do a really good rinse after the shave, use witch hazel, and try a few aftershave balms over time. I like Nivea sensitive and The Body Shop products so far. They have light scents, and it doesn't take much.

Use one for two weeks and see how your sskin is doing. If not doing well, change 1 product.

I have also put witch hazel in my routine and I find it to be pretty key. Use the witch hazel after a hot water rinse and cold water rinse...let the witch hazel dry and then apply your choice of balm/cream/splash/whatever. I'd say just start reading some reviews as posted above and start trying some stuff out.

the best balm i've ever used is the unscented ASB from The Gentlemen's Refinery. It's light, not greasy and is very soothing. it's also very pricey at around $40.

much less expensive but still outstanding are the after shave milks from st. charles shave. they contain aloe & witch hazel and are both light and soothing. they also come in a number of scents and best of all are around $12

i have also heard (but haven't used myself) that nivea sensitive balm is very good and can be found locally.
