best place in the US to buy a Lamy Safari and TWSBI 580?

I haven’t had a fountain pen since college (early 70’s). I want to try some again.

Where is the best place in the US to buy a Lamy Safari and TWSBI 580? I work in the petroleum industry in the middle east and only get home to Texas once a year for a few weeks. I don’t need a vendor who will stand behind the pen after the sale. I need someone who will make sure I get a good one in the first place. I need to find a top flight vendor that actually has someone make sure the pen is right before it ships, even if there is an extra charge for this service.

My plans are to order the following items:

Charcoal Lamy Safari with fine nib
Rose Gold TWSBI 580 with fine nib
TWSBI 50ml ink well
Lamy Refill Converter (Z24)
Lamy Cartridges Refill - Black -5-pack T10BK
Lamy Cartridges Refill – Blue-Black -5-pack (T10BLBK)
Visconti Travelling Inkpot
Noodler's Bulletproof Black Fountain Pen Ink w/ eye dropper
Montblanc Midnight Blue Ink

I use the “large” Moleskine notebooks. I know the paper is mediocre at best, but it fits in my hip pocket. All those with better paper, like the Rhodia A5 Webnotebook are just enough wider that they won’t fit in my hip pocket.

I love the Goulet's company and our other vendors too, but if you're looking for a Charcoal Safari grab one off Amazon, they are usually $16-$22 with prime shipping directly from Amazon.

Goulet, all the way!

They stand behind their product before, during and after the sale... can't ask for a better company than them!

Goldspot is another great pen source, and has a lot of selection, between them and Goulet I don't really need to go anywhere else most times

+1 on goulet... I suggest you consider adding a small Kaweco to the list. Their nibs are buttery smooth and the short ones will lay horizontal in a pocket and have never leaked for me.

Thanks guys,

I'll hit Goulet with my shopping list first and then bat cleanup with some of the other vendors that you mentioned.
