Best movie title sequence(s)

Not all movies have one, but which do you like??

I think Soylent Green has a corker...

Edit: Here it is, I know there's not much to it, but the images and music all works for me:

Have been thinking about this more this afternoon and a James Bond film should definitely be considered. Probably Goldfinger?

Touch of Evil
Pulp Fiction
Vertigo
The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
All top notch choices above. Once Upon A Time in the West is also great. Fincher blew me away both in the opening and closing credits of Seven....

One that comes to mind as it hit me when I saw it in the theater - finishes with the last guy on Earth you would expect at the end of an Orson Welles homage (Touch of Evil)..

Kyle Cooper created the title sequence for Se7en.

Early in his professional career, Cooper worked as a creative director at R/GA - an advertising agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles. During this period, Cooper created the title sequence for the 1995 American crime film Se7en, a seminal work which received critical acclaim and inspired a number of younger designers. According to Cooper, at the time he made the title sequence for Seven, main title sequences were behind of what was happening in print, music videos and commercials. He wanted to create main titles that were raising the bar creatively.

Good article here.

Thanks Chris, for the article and the correction! I should know better than to assume director created title sequence.

Another pick - The original Pink Panther series (not the Martin soiled-diaperesque travesty) were extremely memorable, killer score and clever and fun enough to spawn a whole cartoon.
