What's new

Best 4 1/2 pass shave ever

Thought I would treat myself this morning. Acqua di Parma shaving cream Castle Forbes pre-shave, Feather AS D-a razor, Feather blade, Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel, alum block, Trumpers Coral Skin Food, and Simpsons Emperor 3 super badger. Smoothest shave ever for first pass and a half. Thought the Acqua di Parma would be woth it at twice the price. Best cushoning and slickest ever. Thought I had a more stubble than usual after the first pass and a half. Realized I had forgotten to put a blade in the razor. Still got a very good shave. But I did feel the blade because I had the presence of mind to put one in.

If I gave myself the opportunity, I would be shaving without a blade a lot of the time. That's why I only keep a razor at hand if it is really ready to go. Anything without a blade goes into the medicine chest, probably with it in the open position. Nothing sits around with a blade that needs to be changed, or I will surely grab that razor for my next shave. It's not that I'm particularly organized or anything, just the opposite. I know I would do the same thing, frequently, if I didn't take preemptive measures to avoid it.
