Belt recommendations?

I tried to search "best belt," but didn't see anything really useful...

So does anyone want to make recommendations on great men's belts?

I see Allen Edmonds has some classic-looking dress and business casual style ones. Saddleback--too rugged for work?

I wear slacks and dress shirts without jacket to work. Currently belts usually come from Banana Republic but was wondering if an upgrade is in order...

I have a couple from Equus Leather ... fantastic quality (and price to match, alas.)

Look great for work, and sturdy enough for casual too.

I second thebeltman. I bought one a couple of years ago. Very, very well made and will last a lifetime. Be aware that they are very stiff.

Allen Edmonds belts are really nice and very durable. I have bought sevral this year and have been really happy with the look and feel.

There was a chap on here who made his own, bought it as a blank off ebay that could be a good idea.

Martin Dingman belts are very reasonably priced if you want a nice alligator style in black or brown. My MD belt has lasted six years and looks as good as the day I purchased it. You could also check out the leather plaque belt at J. Crew. I don't normally like their stuff, but this belt is a nice exception.
