i did the beard mapping and while i used that to plan my shave, well while it was more comfortable that way there are some plkaces that just didnt work with my map. i didnt get bbs. am i doing something wrong?

I have never achieved BBS in my 40+ years of shaving although I often thought I had only for my wife to find a bit I had missed. You may be doing nothing wrong at all and in any case BBS will last at most for a few hours. Why not focus on enjoying the shave and let the end result worry about itself. The journey is often better than the destination and you may achieve a BBS without really trying
