Barbus Shave Cream in Pot

Barbus is made in Slovakia, actually, but is available in Czech Rebublic widely. The tub on the pic costs something over 2 dollars. The only thing I can't understand is why do you want this :scared:. It isn't bad but there are better products, even for this price. Scent isn't very overhelming, moisturizing effect isn't such nice as you can reach with Nivea. And I almost forgot... They say it's cream but it's something between cream and soap :wink2:.

It must have the texture of the Proraso shave soap.
But if you could get one for me i would pay you the product and the shipping.

Picked it up and here's my impression after first use.
It is slightly softer than Proraso soap. Lather is great, really great.
It offers very good protection and glide and i went for a full third pass because i was having so much fun. The blade was a brand new PTFE in a Gen Jr Lather catcher, which can be harsh on the first shave, none of that with this lather.
When I build up the courage to try straight razors again, this is going to be my choice.
Good skin care, doesn't dry your skin.
The scent is the weakest point. Like old fashioned soap, nothing bad but not great either. I did notice that after opening the tub, the scent ''calmed down'' once it had a chance to air a bit. If they had an unscented version it would be a winner.

I've use this product few times. While it works just fine, in my books falls in the middle of the pack. When considering the lack of availability in North America and the shipping cost I think that going with any Proraso is a far better choice. That being said, we all have different motivation why we want to buy a particular cream. I have creams from Austria, Bulgaria, Russia, India, Slovakia, etc. But all of them I can easily order here in Canada. The Barbus I bought in person when visiting Czech Republic.

Barbus croap in the sturdy blue tub works well for me.Nice scent, mild, lather does not separate, smooth protection. Not the best, but certainly a worthy addition to the shave den,and let's face it,how many products does your den boast "made in Slovensku" ????

Not many actually - but it was made in "Czechoslovakia" - both nations were involved in the inventing process. And speaking of old czechoslovak products- I believe - worlds well known Astra razor blades - do come from Czechoslovakia aswell.

While Barbus is mostly a Slovak product, Astra blades or the Alpa Cologne are more Czech products (even though ASTRA is Russian brand today)

Johnny_man....Let me understand this...Are you saying when Czechoslovakia was in existence ,Barbus was created and manufactured there, then after the country separated ,Barbus is today made in Slovakia ,but in the same factory that used to be in what was previously known as Czechoslovakia ?...
