balm scent that lasts?

I have found that the TOBS splashes last fairly well on me but I can rarely use alcohol immediately following a shave and with cooler weather approaching I find myself wanting a balm. Does anyone have experience with the TOBS balms and whether their scent lasts reasonably well. I was also considering one or two from Prairie Creations. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Thus far, the only ASB I've used which has a lasting scent is Art of Shaving's Sandalwood. It's what I first started using years ago when I first discovered brushes, creams, etc. This year, after getting educated on DE razors and English products, the ASB I've tried are Trumper's Skinfood, samples of T&H balms, and Castle Forbes balms. None of those had a lasting scent at all, so I went back to AOS Sandalwood.

Speick and Musgo Real balms are not bad - in act Speick is strong enough that it affects my choice of cologne. Also +1 on the AOS sanalwood.

If I use Proraso Pre with Proraso shaving soap or cream then Proraso AS, it stays a bit longer.

However, a Cologne would be your best bet.

Thanks for all who have taken the time to help and if any new ideas come up please keep 'em coming. :thumbup1:

The CO Bigelow blue and black last fairly well on me.

Another option (if you like the scent of Bay Rum...) is the C. O. Bigelow's Bay Rum Balm. I'm a big Bay Rum fan, and I'm looking forward to the cold weather to break open a bottle that I got at B/S/T.

Aqua Velva Ice Balm if you can find it. It's discontinued, but I'm sure there are still bottles floating around. It doesn't really smell like the Ice Blue splash.. it's more citrusy.. almost a clone of T&H 1805 or Floris JF.

Really. When I use it I don't have to wear anything else all day.

It's awesome, and the scent really sticks around.
