Badger equivalent to SOC Boar / 49 Pro

I love me a big brush. I shave my head and face daily and require a brush that can hold a lot of lather and get work done.

What brush do you recommend with similar specs to these but in badger form?

Man. if you had a badger with that kind of loft it would probably be extremely floppy. You could go with a 30mm knot. I know TGN has a finest in that size

I do have a 24mm finest at 55mm and it's pretty good. I have 4 new restores to do; do you think I could fit a 30mm in any I these?

The Parker silvertip badgers on Amazon are close to the Pro 49. They are a little floppy for some people, but they are really a pretty nice brush, especially if you like big brushes. They are easy to lather both soap and creams. I had one.......and my wife took it away from me to use for shaving her legs because it felt so nice.

I have a ruler ;)

I'm lookin for a higher end badger... Under 150

If you are going to attempt some restores, do yourself a favor and get a caliper. Digital would be better, but even a cheapie analog would help you. If you have harbor freight around you that would be a good place to look.

Ok.

I have three restores under my belt already :)

And another I can't find atm

I want some recommendations for solid, large brushes by major manufacturers.

Like Simpson, Thater, etc.

The biggest badgers I know of (decent quality ones that is) are the Vulfix 40 and Vulfix 2236. The 40 is simply huge. I like their Super badger knots. They work alright in the softer soaps but are exceptional with creams. Both are available from TSS and West Coast Shaving.

I'm thinking I may have downplayed the Vulfix somewhat. This is what my Vulfix 2235 Super (just a tad smaller than the 2236) can do with Mitchell's Wool Fat. It performs in a similar fashion with C&E, Cade, Mystic Waters, and a host of other "hard" soaps.
