Badger Brush and Shedding

Gentlemen,

About a month ago I acquired a Silver Tip badger brush from Whipped Dog. As of this morning's shave it still is shedding pretty good. Each lather on a cream in my mug was losing hairs. Hairs were on my face and subsequently getting caught in my razor. I am not talking 1 or 2 either. I had at least a dozen this morning which prompted me to make this thread. I know there is a break in period but this has me questioning the product.

Thoughts, advice?

It's not normal. It's unfortunate but all knots makers produce shedders from time to time. Contact Larry, I believe he'll suggest the right solution of the problem.

my WD does the same thing. I don't really use it as it's turned into my kids "fun brush" for his play shaves, but it always looses a few hairs and seems to be cut wonky.

If I had noticed it initially, I would have contacted him, but 8 mos later (probably 10 uses) and it was only $15, I chalk it up to lesson learned. I should have used it more when I bought it or at least test lathered in a dozen or so times and I would have been able to justify a complaint to him.

below are some pics i just took of my dry brush and as you can see, it's choppy, hairs are all different lengths and it's not uniform.

That's not the best knot I have ever seen indeed :scared:
