Bad shave

Just worked up the nerve to try the straight starter pif from DrColossus11 and I have to say that was a really bad shave and will need serious DE touch up work.

Ok all kidding aside THAT WAS FUN!!!!!

Now admittedly it wasn't a complete shave. I only used my dominant hand on one side cheek WTG but that was the plan. Same as when I started with a DE blade, I went for having to touch up with my current gear but keeping facial parts where they were.

I'm looking forward to learning how to do this.

Thanks again for the generous PIF DrColossus11.

I think that my straight shave was just combing the stubble. I think I cleaned up with a DE for around a week before I wwas happy enough to go to work with just the result of the straight.

There is something about doing something you have done every morning with little afterthought and then shaving with a straight for the first time, surviving, and looking in the mirror and muttering, "Now that was awesome. Time to learn how to play Rugby or catch a giant Catfish barehand.", as you admire your silky, smooth face. :biggrin1:

Well done on the first str8 shave! It certainly takes time, patience, and perseverance - but it's worth it! There is a reason why people who don't use these envy those who do:wink2: Nothing worth doing happens over night, but it sounds like you've hit the ground running.

Keep us posted.

Keep it up. Take it slow and gentle. The best advice I can give is watch the blade angle doesn't get to aggressive, don't apply any pressure and be very very careful not to draw the edge along the skin. Every cut I've given myself was the result of one of those.

Heh, heh, I shave with a straight and I've played rugby (both league and union). Are rugby and giant catfish catching mutually exclusive?
