Bad Head shave today.

Had a bad shave today. Now I didn't get allot of cuts, nicks or razor burn, Just the razor didn't want to cut the hair today. I decided today that I would use some AOS unscented and VDH soap to make some Uber lather today (since I wasn't Liking the AOS by it self). Lathered it up in my scuttle and it looked fine, Applied it to my head and went to shave and wow it was like I didn't have any blade in the razor (58 super speed if you are wondering
), and I just put a new blade in the razor. I could feel that it wasn't cutting and tryed to change angle and even added a little pressure but still no luck. After getting aggravated i decided maybe just maybe my lather needed more water, and what do you know that was it. I added more water and viola I got the razor to cut the hair. Still not a great shave but at least it was cutting.
I do have to say that I'm not liking AOS cream so far and glad I only spend $14 for the tube but I am going to give it a couple more shots and if I still don't like it I will just pif it to someone.

That's unfortunate. I love AOS soap and cream, and get wonderful head/face shaves with it. For a good headshave, you need more than the "almond" size everyone speaks about imho. Don't be shy with it, start with a lightly damp brush and add water slowly. It will come to life. I'm sure you'll dial it in, otherwise add it to the Never Ending PIF thread and grab something else to try.

Yeah, the hair on your hair takes up a lot more space than your beard. I'd start with two almonds.
