Bad Blades?

I bought a pack of mixed blades to try out a few different makes and amongst them were two packs of Shogun.
The first shave with one was real bad, terrible drag and felt like it had been used about a dozen times before. Thought it might be rogue blade so tried again with a second and third, both in different razors but the result was the same.
Has anyone else tried these blades? Where are they made? No country of manufacture on them.
Think they are going in the bin!

Does anyone know where they are made?

They are made in Japan and the worst blade I have ever tried (got one with a Shogun razor). Looked like a decent blade when I unwrapped it. I figured that Feathers and Kais are made in Japan, this one couldn't be as bad as the reviews. It was. It pulled, dragged, skipped and left enough stubble after 4 passes to look like I hadn't shaved at all.

Your description Peter is better than mine. I guessed, by the name, that they are made in Japan and I thought that because of that they would be quality items! Not so.

For purpose of discussion, it should be noted there are two distinctly different blades marked as ShoGun.

One has a red package, and is the one reviewed here as being super nasty.

The other has writing, and packaging that makes it look very much like a Feather blade. The ones that look like Feather packaging/ writing have received some favorable reviews. :tongue_sm You can see this style of blade packaged with a Shogun Razor here:

The one that looks like Feather packaging is the one I tried. Do you mean to say that there's a worse one?
