ASTRA SP prices are going up!

Hope all is well with you & your families. I am a huge fan of the Astra SP. They are my go to blades. I have been stocking up on it last month when they were around $8.57 to $8.89 on Amazon. As I am posting it is currently priced at $12.99. That is a huge leap in price. It is still a respectable price but I hope they don't go any higher. Amazon if you are listening please lower the price.

I wouldn't worry too much yet--the prices seem to fluctuate every couple of weeks. I remember everyone getting excited when they were $10, then I saw them go up to $12, then down again... Amazon prices aren't super stable.

Amazon prices are far from stable! Sometimes they seem to change by the hour.

An extra $3 to $5 for 6-12 months worth of blades doesn't seem too serious. Even I can afford it, and that's not saying much.

Hmmm - a $3 increase on a 100 pack of blades.

That's less than the price of a cappuccino or small bottle of coke where I live.

Has the Global Financial Crisis hit the USA so hard that such an increase is now a real issue of concern?

Or is it just something to mull over about on a dull Sunday afternoon?

I bought a hundred Astras from an Amazon seller for under $10 with free shipping Friday night. They were in my mail today (Wednesday). The plant in St Petersburg employs lots of people, and is enjoying the rebirth of DE shaving in the west as added production numbers. I think we are safe from any kind of DE pricing Armageddon for quite a long time. At least I hope so....
