Astra Blade Advice/Your thoughts

I'm in the market to purchase blades, as my sample pack is almost gone. The Astra Superior Premium Platinum's were my favorite, but I'm wondering are the Astra Superior Stainless any better? They seem to be almost double the price on Amazon for the 100 pack.

There's not that much difference in them, IMO. I'm surprised the Stainless are more expensive.

I do like them slightly better, but most people actually prefer the Platinums.

I would buy the Astra sp if they were your favorite. Personally I don't care for Astra blades.

Astra Platinum are my gold standard blade (better than an astra not as good as an astra). I would recommend that you get a carton of them.

In my experience, Astra SS are sharper, Astra SP are smoother. Both great blades for me.

Personally, I love the stainless variety much more then the platinum, and despite having plenty of other blades, ordered 100 of them a week ago. If you're happy with the platinum though, and they're cheaper, sounds like good reason to stick with them.

Occasionally I get one that goes onto the edge itself. I usually just chuck it. But they are my go-to blade for trying a new razor and a standard for comparason.

In my experience, on any given day, one will shave as well as the other. I suspect that any real difference, on any given day, between SP and SS is in the mind rather than on the beard.

I don't like Astra SP's, they don't give me good shaves. I'm in the minority but the Stainless steel is a better blade for me.

I have 100+ of both the SS and the SP. I used to slightly prefer the SS, but I've swung around to slightly preferring the SP. The difference, I find, is very marginal though.

I love the platinums they are my everyday go to blade. can't beat under 10 buck for a carton of 100 through amazon.
