Aristocrat Adjustable vs Fatboy Executive

I'm still pretty new to collecting, so please excuse this amateur question.

Can someone describe to me the differences between a gold Aristocrat Adjustable and a gold Fatboy Executive?

Pictures would be a great addition to any description.

I have one of each . . . both in regular rotation.

Gary is right on regarding the epic debate . . . except perhaps to an even greater degree where these two are concerned. It seems the gold plating adds something, either real or imagined, to the virtues of these classics. I honestly feel mine out-perform any standard FB or Slim . . . and yet, the Slim Aristocrat still beats out the Executive by the narrowest of margins . . .

But of course, YMMV!

Hmm. I've gone back and forth myself as to which I prefer, my Fatboy or Slim. I'll have to try and acquire one of each of these so that I can give all four a fair shake.

Ok, so after a Sunday evening spent swimming in "the Bay" I've got one of each on the way to my house. I will report back once I can give a true side by side comparison on my own face.

Fatboy Executive and Adjustable Aristocrat arrived today. Can't wait to take these razors for a test drive.

I guess "good deal" is in the eye of the beholder. I feel that what I payed was fair.

The Aristocrat "Slim" Adjustable has some plating loss and isn't perfect. No case. $29

The Fatboy Executive appears to be NOS. It is near perfect. The case is missing the front cover. Razor blades and instructions included and still sealed. Beauty of a razor. $103

Not rude at all. I'm very happy with them.

You'll notice that the Slim has a "flatter" head on it as compared to the Fatboy. They changed the head on both the Slim and the Super Speed around 1964.

Gentlemen:

I may have a new favorite razor.

I just completed my nightly head Shave. Used the Fatboy Executive.

Showered. Used Proraso pre shave cream. Lathered up with Mitchels Wool Fat Soap. Loaded the FB Exec with a new Derby blade and opened her wide up on 9. Full head shave went great. Nice and smooth in the wide open areas. Great handling in the hard to reach spots. Rinsed with warm water and applied Alum block. Not a single hint of irritation. Rinsed with cold water and applied Floid Blue.

Great, great shave.

Tomorrow morning I will take her for a spin on my face.
