Are You A Beer Ticker?

You craft guys probably know what I mean. Do you review beers, take notes, and count them toward your total of beers tried? This used to be big to me when I first started. I wanted to try them all. Now I've calmed down quite a bit and really don't drink as much beer as I used to. But I do love to take notes on beers and keep track of my totals.

I am at 450 beers ticked. How many beers have you tried?

I've never kept count. I'm a BJCP judge, so I really don't see a point. When I judged more before our daughter was born, I kept a notebook to judge all of the beer I tried. That was really just to keep the practice up.

Thats a bit too structured for me. I try to remember the ones that really made an impact. If the others just fade away thats okay. Although sometimes it can be handy to know that even if this beer right here isn't the best one I've ever had then its definitely the best one in this pub/bar/restaurant/designated-place-of-beer.
