Are wapis good? how many do you own?

Ok my cousin in temecula ca who know im into old razors said that a pawn shop near him had a box of 20-30 metals razors and the pawnbroker told him they were polish razors used by the army and in hospital and from that alone i could tell they were wapis. He was selling them for $45 a piece but he offered my cousin all of them for 25 a piece. I dont know anything about wapis and im very new to straight with only about 2 shaves under my belt but how do they compare to wade and butchers or bokers. Of you people out thier that have them how many do you own, i dont feel i need 20 of them but just 1 my cousin is coming down in 2 weeks and he said if i wanted it to let him know so he could go get it or them.

I own precisely none. But word on the street says they are good. For $25 a pop I would grab a couple at least.

They are excellent razors. The most common type found today are the 1/4 hollow ones, that are really as good as any razor out there. If you're lucky, you may get your hands on a more hollow-ground one.

So long as they're in good shape - 25 a pop sounds good. I'd definitely score a few at that price.

I had a metal scaled one, but now this one bill Ellis got his hands on

If they are in decent shape, I give them a cautious "BUY". They go for quite a bit more than that on the bay these days, WHEN you can find one. You don't see many with the original scales, because they usually get re-scaled early on. You should at least get one or two for yourself. I have been wanting one for a while now, but I am in the Persian Gulf for the next few months and I am not in a position to buy; else I would be PMing you about one, at that price.
