aramis.....for a teenager?

hey guys, um i was thinking about buying aramis. in one of my threads, some people told me that aramis was a deep earthy scent. and those types of scents work well on me so i went to the store and looked at it. i think i would like it based on the discrition of the notes. however, my mom, thinks that aramis is to old a scent for me. i am 15. any thoughts?

Hmm.. I wore this as a teenager.. umm.. back in the day and never thought about it being for older men at the time. But, it's definitely pretty strong and by today's standards probably has an 'old school' feel to it. I always say wear what you like, unless my wife says different. Hah!

Go to a department store like Macy's and have them spray a sample.

There's nothing wrong with being your age and not wanting to smell of "Curve".

Before you put down a sizable chunk of change on any fragrance, you may want to purchase a decant. Check out 'The Perfumed Court' or even ask around these forums to see if anybody would be able to give you a decant to try.

I wore it back in the day as well. At your age, you might check out Issaye Miyaki or Caroline Herrera.

I knew this guy in high school who smoked weed all day, drank Busch lite on his dad's boat - which was parked in the driveway, and attended driver retraining every other month. Oh, and he wore Aramis.

Well, dang. That kind of makes me regret selling that bottle on BST just a bit ago! :tongue_sm

I used to wear it myself when I was your age.... some 30+ years ago...

that's alot to think about. i can tell you i'm deffinately going out and getting myself a bottle tomorrow. the aftershave first. how strong is that stuff. compared to...... club d'vior pour homme?

Aftershaves usually contain 1%-3% perfume oil, Eau de Cologne (EDC) will contain 2%-5%, and Eau de Toilette (EDT) about 4%-8% perfume oil. If you're going for the scent, the stronger is a better deal and will last longer. If it's too potent, just use less.

Women are drawn like moths to flame when they smell Aramis. They will think you are:thumbup1: very mature. Just don't over do it. A little goes a long way.

yup, i'll go for it! just don't want to put to much on lol, i'm getting the AS to begin with, not the cologne...

Congratulations on your purchase! For the aftershave splash you want just enough to wet the areas of your face you just shaved.

Most splashes I use a couple of shakes from the bottle.

I swiped my Dads Aramis to wear to school :biggrin1:

Make your own style. And know it's cool. That's what being cool is - knowing that you rock what you want to rock.

Try it out, but don't spend too much on it. How do you mean earthy?
