Anyone odering Nancy Boy shave cream in the near future?

I would like to buy a TUB of Nancy Boy signature shave cream. My problem is I live in Hawaii and the only way they will ship is Fed Ex, which comes to $20 for shipping. I thought I would be able to work something out after hearing so many good things about their customer service; well I was wrong they said we would only ship Fed Ex. I was very surprised by that, I usually never have a problem when calling a company to work out a cheaper shipping method to Hawaii like USPS flat rate boxes.
Back to my original question if someone is ordering I thought maybe we could work out a deal and you could order an extra tub. If anybody can help let me know. Thanks

I too am from Hawaii and unfortunately have had the same problem. I also posted and contacted them only to get the same answer. Kinda sucks sometimes to live here because shipping rates are so high. By the way Hawaii meaning Oahu? If shipping is still $20 and we combine orders I'd be happy to order along with you and split the shipping, can't right now though because I just restocked on pretty much everything and don't have the extra cash.

Ok, tell you what, guys...I live across the bay from San Francisco, and have made a couple of trips to the store myself...I'd be willing to go get you whatever you want if you cover the cost of shipping USPS flat rate and the bridge toll (which is $4 these days, lol). PayPal works fine for me for reimbursement, but I don't want to incur PP fees. Sort it out amongst yourselves exactly what you want to order, and shoot me a PM.

If you both wanted stuff, that's fine too, and if you are both on Oahu and don't mind working out dividing the goods, that's a double-bonus, and I can ship in one flat rate package. If not, I don't mind shipping two packages (or more...whatever), so long as I only have to make one trip to the store and one to the post office.

I'd like to leave this offer open to any Hawaii residents for a few days, unless you're seriously jonesing for some NB NOW!

GoldenMonkey I really appreciate your offer and I hope I can take advantage of it. But I think it will take a couple more people to jump on this to make it work. I do live on Oahu cardboard if you want to jump on this offer. In so ways I want to tell Nancy Boy they can have there cream and I'll stick with TOBS. Going the extra mile for your customers like a lot of vendors on this forum do keep people coming back as loyal customers.

No hurry...offer is open indefintely...I really don't mind, and am willing to make the trip anytime...being unemployed and going stir-crazy and all, lol. Don't worry, when I go to NB, I'll let them know WHY I'm there, and how they should rectify their customer service re: shipping. They are great guys with a great product, so you really SHOULD give them a chance. Their creams, body bars, and balms are top notch. The Replenishing line is great, if you like cucumber...the scent isn't for everyone, but they work wonders if you had a previously bad shave, or...as can often be the case for Hawaii...you have sun burn, lol...

Evidently you're misusing his rationale. The OP is not trying to negotiate a lower rate on the existing shipping method; he's asking if they would use a different shipping method that has an inherently lower rate, like USPS. I don't see anything unreasonable in that request. Personally, if I were a Hawaii resident, I would find the shipping cost to be prohibitive. I've been a big supporter of the company for years, but really, if I didn't live in the CONUS, and they weren't trying to make it easier or cost-effective for me to obtain their products, I would send my business elsewhere - although, my guess is, that's what they're trying to achieve anyway.

I experienced the same problem here in Alaska. I was shocked they wouldn't ship USPS either. I mean now the post office offers free pick up so what is the big deal. Why would I want to pay as much for the shipping as the product.

Well the one thing I forgot to ask NB was how to they ship Fed Ex to Hawaii. They are probably shipping 2 day and not even aware they can ship Fed Ex Ground to Hawaii. I have shipped UPS and Fed Ex Ground from the East Coast for less than $20.

You know I order all kinds of stuff from bestgroomingtools and never get charged anywhere near $20. It's not that I can't pay it I just can't get past the fact that yes shipping is damn well more than the product itself. Although their customer service is awesome and they respond to you quickly so I can't complain. Thanks for the offer Gmonkey, and I'll let you know if I want to order Miller.

You may be right about that, because they definitely use FedEx Ground to ship in the U.S.
