Anyone know of any citrus soaps?

Anyone know of any citrus soaps that are light and not overpowering and do not smell like popsicles nor sherbert?

It would be great if there was a soap along the lines of 4711?

I've never smelt 4711 but eshave mandarin soap has a light citrusy scent and it's a cracking soap to boot

Spot on. eShave mandarin is a great soap on all counts.

Also, to my nose, the DR Harris Arlington has a nice lime overtone and is top shelf all the way.

I'm going to be investing in some orange and lime essential oils from a very good supplier that will stick in cold process soaps. (the kind that is handmade with oils and lye) Many of the citrus EO's dont stick in CP soap well.


Another caution with using citrus EO's is that they are a photosensitizer. This means when it's used in skin care products it increases your sun exposure and you will get a sunburn faster and more severe. (some medications also have this side effect, but it's not a warning your pharmacy will notify you about.)

The lime EO that I am going to purchase does carry this warning, while the orange EO does not because it's made using a different process.

SCS has a tangerine soap; plus,if you look around on the QED website, I am sure you will be able to pick up a few scents that willblow you away.

I'm a big fan of The Gentlemen's Quarter's Savon de Campagne when it comes to citrus soaps/creams. It doesn't smell so great in the tub, but once it's lathered up and on your face is fantastically refreshing and I quite like it as a summer scent

DR Harris Arlington soap smells just like 4711 to me..
