I've been DE shaving my head/face for 2 months. I haven't nicked myself in weeks. Just wondering if I would be able to use the str8 on my head if I wanted to?? Thanks.
I do every day. My resent adventures with DE's had confirmed some of the challenges that I used to have with cartridges, they clog up fast. I've recently found a DE that is perfect for head shaving. That said, I prefer my 6/8 - 7/8 straight for my head.
This is a friend, James from OZ doing his thing, he was kind enough to make the video. It helped me a lot, must stretch you skin or you will fold and nick yourself up...trust me.
Thanks Gerard. I have a smooth head, and the DE is fine, but I want to try a str8 because I know they shave closer (after I conquer the kearning curve),and they are beautiful, and I can always go back to the DE if I want. Str8s seem to be more efficient when used properly.
It's time consuming when you take the weekend off and try to shave 3 days of head stubble with a DE It's not like facial hair at all. James video help me conquer the ears issue.
James has got skills with his razor!! He is quick and efficient. He takes longer strokes than I have seen in other videos. Excellent technique. Thanks again.
I have a few times. It takes me a good bit longer than that video, ,mostly because I have trouble at the top of my ears and behind them. The back isn't so bad, once you have the blade angle figured out you can just keep going over the top.
how do you navigate the little knobby part which is the base of your skull where it attaches to the neck. If you're shaving from the crown down I guess it wouldn't be as MUCH of a problem, but I've only ever shaved towards my crown when shaving my head.
I'd love to get into shaving my head with a DE or straight now that I've started shaving my face like a real man, but the logistics of the skull baffle me more than the face/neck.
