Seems like a good price for a silvertip...but I'm skeptical if it is truly silvertip and the quality of the brush.

It's suspiciously cheap, isn't it?

Muehle brushes have a fairly good reputation, and silvertip should be their top grade (http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/Shave_Brush_Hair_Grades). But that price seems a little too low, and the handle resembles Muehle's lower-end HJM line - with a store-label for Merz?

On the other hand, maybe it's a great buy. If you decide to try it, let us know how it works out.

It looks like one of the Muhle K257 series. It might be the smaller brush (99k257) with a 19mm knot that sold regularly for around $60. or less a couple of years ago.

Shaving.ie sells the 21mm version (91K257) for the equivalent of $65. The hair is very soft. The brush is just slightly floppy, not the densest, and better for creams and bowl lathering. It whips up a great lather in no time and doesn't hog it. I've owned and sold a 21mm and my wife expropriated my 23mm Muhle silvertip for herself because it's soft and pillowy.
Loft on my 21mm was 52mm.

The closest comparison of all the brushes I've owned to the 21mm in feel and use would be a Kent BK4. Muhle silvertips are good brushes.
