What's new

Anyone ever seen an old, wooden and aluminum brush with a swastika on it?

I came across one in an antique shop, and it stuck out. Didn't buy it or have pics, but it has the wood handle of the Rubberset or the Barbershop brushes, and instead of the black upper piece, its aluminum. Also, it said made in USA, and the swastika was stamped into it straight up and down, and not twisted like the Nazi symbol. I've been wanting to try a brush resto, and this one is differant, but was unsure about it because of the aluminum top. Not sure what size knot would fit it.

If a swastika is straight up and down it is the symbol for peace and harmony in Buddhist and Hindu cultures (the tails often point counter-clockwise whereas the nazi ones always point clockwise). Funny yeah, the opposite meaning of the twisted one!!! The swastika is ancient and it has only been hijacked as a Nazi symbol since the 1920s

Could have been meant for export to asia?
