What's new

Anyone bathe with shaving soap?

I was trying to figure out on how to deplete my stock of Williams as quickly as possinke and found it great to shower with though I admit a puck doesn't last very long in this capacity.

I figured it would probably be nice, but given the availability of shaving soap vs. regular soap, I don’t think I’d actually try it.

I have been swirling my natural sponge in my mama bears cascade hops for the last week. great as a shave soap but as a shower it really hydrates well in my arid locale

I purchased a puck of locally-made shaving soap for $4 and did not like it. I doubt I would get anything on the B/S/T for it, so I put it in my shower and use it daily.

That is how I use up soaps that I dislike. I have a puck of MWF that serves as hand soap in the kitchen. It makes nice hand soap.

I've thought about it. I mean if it works, you like it, and have extra (or don't like shaving with it) why not?

I wonder if the Tabac shaving soap would give me the same great results as the Tabac Luxury Bath Soap?

I can't see spending another $17 to order the Bath Soap all the way from Singapore, but I'd gladly sacrifice what's left of my shave soap and replace it with a new puck.

I've been showering with a cedar shaving soap that I picked up for around $5.00 and I love it. Very moisturizing and smells terrific. I did shave with it a couple of times, but I'm just a cream guy, I'm afraid.

$17:eek:

Contact dridiot he can get you a much better deal than $17!

With my DE rebirth I got 14 pucks of Williams at $1 apiece on clearance because it was the only soap I knew of for shaving.
Now I spoiled by some luxurious soaps and can"t go back. Sell the Williams? Who would pay for shipping in their right mind? So its in the trash or hand soap or bath soap. I will keep one puck fas a souvenier however.

It was dridiot that I bought it from in the first place!

$10.99 for the 100g bar of soap in the faux-tortoise shell, plus $6 shipping. 13 days transit time to go from Singapore to here in NJ ... and its worth every penny.

Its really nice soap, but I don't want to pay such a steep price ... that's why I'm wondering if Tabac shave soap can make a reasonable substitute.

Enough with the speculation ... I'm just going to try it and find out.

If you don't like Williams as a shave soap you can use it for a shower soap.

It's surprising good as a shower soap.

Now if you don't like it as a shower soap you can at lest use it as a hand soap.

Other than that you can't really sell it.
