I've got an 08' Honda Civic Si as my daily driver right now. I REALLY wanted a WRX or STI, but I couldn't find one for the right price. It's also just not as practical for me right now. Gas mileage was a big factor since I have a 100 mile commute. Anything would have been better than my truck. I was driving an 06' Dodge Ram 1500 with hemi.
The Si is a great reliable car for me right now. It's fun to drive, and I'm averaging 31mpg...with a few tanks here and there at 34mpg. Not too shabby...
I haven't really done anything to it. I tinted the windows and I might lower it an inch or so, but otherwise I don't plan on doing much. Anything I do will be for show...I can throw $15K into it and it still won't really go
