What's new

Any musicians here?

I'm a huge acoustic blues fan, these are just some of my recent recordings...please post some of your stuff if you can!

An original called "Insulin" -

I also play drums and harmonica but I'll leave that for later (or you can seek it out on my YouTube channel). :)

Oh yea, there are quite a few musicians on here. I don't have any recordings but i've been playing guitar for over 20 years. Played in a few bands for kicks nothing serious. I play a Gibson Les Paul Studio, and a Fender Tele through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with an SKB pedal board and numerous effects pedals. That does it for my set up. Love the song by the way. Great job!

Sweet gear! What's the finish on the Les Paul and Tele? And, thank you very much :)

I'm not a musician, just a vocalist ;)

Here is my old punk band:

Now I sing in a Stoner Rock band, but we haven't recorded anything yet. We will record this fall though so I will come back to you.

Played drums with these guys for several years. These days, I'm not "in a band" but playing here and there when I'm asked.

They just released their first full-length album, which I also played drums on :)

I play piano, bass guitar, and a variety of folk instruments. I am also a choral composer. One of my choral compositions is published. The Virginia Children's Chorus has performed four of my compositions, and I just got an e-mail from their director yesterday telling me that they have chosen another of my compositions for performance at their Spring concert in May of next year.

In 1988 my power trio cut a demo, songs from which are now available at iTunes under the band name Garaj Mahal '88. Check out Another Day in Tokyo, Three Came Home, or End of Time on the free preview buttons. Sorry we don't have a YouTube video.

By the way, I enjoyed all three of the posted videos. Totally different styles, but I like a lot of different kinds of music.

Oh, just remembered, there's some amateur footage of a PORTION of one of my songs being performed by the Virginia Children's Chorus. I don't know why the whole song wasn't recorded, 'cause I didn't do the recording, nor did I post the video.

I don't know how to upload videos. This is the URL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbZeODLXwZc

I play some percussion and a little piano and acoustic guitar. I like tambourines, shakers, etc the best.

I've messed around with guitar a little. Played harp (Blues harmonica) but basically I sing. I sing mostly blues, soul and old R&B (Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Wilson Picket, Tempations etc ). I also do some classic rock...love Joe Cocker.

I have a guy I collaborate with sometimes long distance. He is a harmonica player in Sweden and I am in Pennsylvania. I lay down the vocals and my video, send it to him and he does his thing. We usually do older traditional Blues together.
Here is a sample. I'm the guy with the nice shave

And here is me singing Georgia On My Mind at a piano bar.

Garaj Mahal sounds SO familiar for some reason...
