What's new

Any MMO player

Nope I am not a mmo kind of guy. I was strictly a single console gamer I could lay on the couch and drink beer and not have to sit up at the computer desk to play games. But today's games and online is getting bigger and better console wise. But I am getting older and I got other things to worry about than the newest must have game.

Not anymore, I use to play WoW but I pulled that needle from my arm after I found myself spending more time fishing that I did doing quests or dungeons. I played a little World of Tanks but found that since I didn't spend any money in the free to play I didn't end up winning. I play league every now and again but I don't play enough to be good so I usually just stick to my single player games or multiplayer shooters or puzzle games.

Played WoW for a few years. It started to seem like every expansion it was a little less fun. Before that I played L2 for a while, but just way too much of a grind there.

Hi all,

I play the MMO The Secrete World

Dose anyone else?

I've played most of the major MMO's and a lot of the FTP's (Free To Play), but have not played that one. I am currently playing NeverWinter. It's a FTP that has so far been pretty decent. I also haven't had to spend any real word money on it for it to be fun.

As for WOW, I started playing that one before any of the expansions when it was a lot more fun. I went back to it just before this last expansion and found it was too easy to by any fun.

I was into EverQuest. Recently went back to the Mac Version which is a totally different experience because no one is hardly around.

I used to play World of Warcraft and would happily try any new MMO on the scene such as Conan, Star Wars, Secret World, but none of them grabbed me in the same way. I suppose after spending months with one character in one game it's hard to swap to a new one and learn an entirely new game. I don't play any more though.

I play a MMORTS for Android operating system called Age of Empire. Its pretty straightforward..level up city, build troops, fight, build more troops.... its a lot of fun and allows yu to play at your own pace, you can put it on your phone, play for a few minutes a day when you have time to kill, or you can spend an hour exploring looking for targets and hunting treasure..all at your own pace, plus...its mobile. 5279972877 is my referral code if anyone decides to check it out!

I use to play and LOVED a game called Dark Age of Camelot. It was a great game till patches/expansion packs nerfed the heck outta the game. Most people migrated to WOW. I tried it once, and the previous game just spoiled me I suppose. Ill get into WOW one day, when I have a decent gaming computer. My brother plays the game , and thats one of the main reasons I would even pick up the habit again.

I've had a EQ/EQ2 account since 4 weeks after EQ released. I've also done some time in WoW, but kept drifting away from it. Currently, I'm doubling up on Planetside2 and Neverwinter. Both FTP and you can be fairly successful without dropping piles of cash.

Yea I tried WOW also about the time cata went live. Di d not get in to it.
My MMO history is
UO 98-04
EQ - 30 day trial
COH 04-12
TSW Current

this will give us a place to post for our other habits and maybe form guilds.

Ah, ok. Well i play COD and battlefield. Do those count?
same here. Tom Clancy series like Ghost Recon, Call of Duty (getting boring but love the history)
I once sat reading while peering through a session of my cousin's kid playing Assasins CReed. Looks like a beautiful game with such history. I was mesmerized but then went back to my book. by the way, anyone ever read Moore & Galoway's "we were soldiers once.. and young, the Battle of Ia Drang", a vietnam war book and one of the best along with Matterhorn.

I've played 3 total.

The first was Star Wars Galaxies. It got old and I felt like it was pointless.

Star Trek Online - I liked this one actually. Good integration of space and ground combat and it was very Trek. But, I lost time for it and didnt wish to pay the sub fee anymore. Now that its F2P its been overhauled and I'm not really interested now.

I'm currently playing Star Wars Old Republic - I'm playing F2P and been thinking of subbing, as they make it very apparent what you're missing by not. Its still been pretty fun, and its well done. Thank you Bioware! But, to be honest... its really, "same crap, different quest". Meaning its quite redundant as far as play and quest type, even if the story keeps progressing.

To be honest though, thats what I find the problem with all MMO's I've played. Maybe thats why I'm not really into them.
