What's new

Any Interest?

I've been making these cigar boxes to hold various assundries for a few years now. I made each of the gentlemen who stood in my wedding one to hold their gifts, and they can be personalized in a number of different ways. I recently made one for another member as part of a trade and realized that perhaps some of you would like one as well. There would be some money involved, but I haven't decided what to charge yet. I'm kind of just "feeling the market." Anyone interested?

Here is the box I use to keep tea at work. I didn't seal the paper on this box, that's why the paper looks a tad bubbled on the edges. They can be made as intricate or minimalist as my paper options allow.

Check my later post for more box pics

Really beautiful! I for one would be interested A LOT, if shipping one of these beauties to Germany isn't too expensive.

Thanks! I'll inquire about shipping and post back.

To Everyone: If I do list these on the BST I may start with just a few "pre-made" ones. The problem with custom making them per customer's request is that I would need to list all the boxes and paper I currently have, and then take instructions from the buyer as to which box/paper to use and the layout. Then it would take me a couple days to make each box. I don't have a problem doing this, but I just see it not fitting into my current busy schedule.

Nice, very art deco......

Must be because I'm in the Southern Hemisphere or something but all the writing looks back to front to me though :001_smile

I am going to make a box tonight and post it on the BST (CONUS only for right now). After I see what the demand, or lack of demand, may be I'll open it up to more custom orders. What I need to come up with though is a price. Any suggestions? (they take me roughly 3 hours from start to finish for the more intricate ones if that counts for anything)

Here are some more pics! These are the four I made for my guys in my wedding. Sorry for the iphone pics! The last picture was the box I made for my Dad. He's taken some work trips to Moscow and loved the city. The picture of the Kremlin was cut out and over-layed over the background. It took me almost an hour to hand cut the Kremlin, but it looks amazing in person!

I'd say price is materials plus what you would think three hours of that type of labor would cost.

Unless the materials themselves are terribly expensive, then I wouldn't think over $30.

Kind of what I was thinking. I'll probably make them $35 just to cover shipping (estimating $5 for that).

I am interested. I could put my tea stuff in them or shaving stuff. Anyone actually planning to use it for cigars? lol.

Cool! I've got two that I use for cigars. The glue that I use is non-toxic and unscented....actually, I think you can eat it! As long as I seal the paper properly the humidity is no problem. Watch for the box I post tonight....I think it's going to be my first shave theme box!
