Any Darts fans on here?

An American who posts on another forum I use asked for some help with a petition to get live darts broadcast in the U.S. So if any of you guys are darts fans could you take a minute of your time to help him out please. If you help him I promise I'll try and persuade him to start shaving properly! Here's the link.

I signed, but I don't believe it will ever happen.

However, I hope I'm wrong about that.

I've played in 2 pro dart tournaments, the Windy City Open in Chi Town back in '94 and the Golden Harvest in Saskatoon a few years ago.

In Chicago, the Brits outnumbered Americans who had to travel more than 100 miles. In Saskatoon, Brits outnumbered Americans and were relatively close in numbers to Canadian participants.

In spite of the money available to both tourneys at the time, there's just not enough players who have the interest.

I don't really enjoy watching darts, other than the first few minutes when I'm in utter awe, but I love to play. I'm not very good, but it's a great way to enjoy yourself at a sports bar.

I throw my Hammerheads a few times a month.

Darts used to be on ESPN 2 all the time. Never live, but they were on once a week real late at night, used to tape it and watch it later. I enjoyed it.

I saw darts on cable earlier this week. I like to play, and used to have a weekly game, but I have no desire to see it live on TV. With that said, I'll sign the petition so as not to deprive someone based on my proviclitities.

I started playing darts in college as nothing was less expensine to do in a bar. I played in various leagues through the years and still will play in an event here and there.

I was in a cricket league in college, had a fairly nice set of 20g hammerheads. I eventually saved up enough for another set of 25g black widows, but most of my buddies graduated that year and moved on so i quit too. Honestly never have watched it on TV, I cant recall ever seeing it on TV to watch!

My boss used to have a dart board in the office for times when he got frustrated.
