Amazing Feats in Customer Service

Hello Gentleman,

It is the Christmas season and the stress of the holidays are upon us. People are rude, name calling and just plain mean. However, there is one place of shining hope in this time of utter madness. That place is the wet/DE shaver community. Somedays, I think its the only hope for humanity left (maybe its because I read the newspaper daily). Anyway I just wanted to give a shout out to 2 companies and the individuals responsible for inspiring this post.

First off is Matthew Retzloff from Queen Charlotte Soaps, LLC. I recently recieved a few samples of creams and an aftershave balm from QCS. I decided to give them a try from all the positive reviews on B&B. The products were one the best I have used in 4 years of wet shaving. Anyway, upon arrival of the creams I noticed that one of the sample tubes was empty . So I e-mailed Matt just to let him know. I honestly did not care that much because the other products were amazing and I was going to be ordering full size tubes in the near future. Almost instantly I received a response email from Matt apoligizing and offering to send me another tube of the sampler along with other scents I could request. I couldn't turn down an offer like that! I was so pleasantly surprised by the generosity offered to me due to a minor error. QCS now has a customer for life!

The second transaction was completed with Larry Andreassen from Whipped Dog Straight Razor Supplies. Again, I heard many wonderful reviews from fellow B&B members on his products and services so I took a look around his site. I came across a wonderful 24mm white marble handle silvertip badger hair brush. The page had plently of information on it and was very informative. However, I am ignorant in the process of actually creating the brushes so I had a few questions to ask before ordering. Again, instantly I recieved a response from Larry with a full explanation of everything I asked and more. I placed the order this morning and within one hour I recieved an email for a shipping label!!! The turn around was better than perfect!

Many of you on B&B already know these 2 individuals well but I just had to sing my praises about them. Business conducted as mentioned above seems to be in the rare now a days. If you are deciding on purchasing soaps/brushes/creams/straights, please visit these gentlemen's websites you will not disappointed. Thank you again Matt & Larry! You guys have made me believe in the potential of human beings again. :biggrin1:

I would also like to thank everyone who participates here on B&B. You guys have helped me so many times, over and over again.

:badger:

I've gotten things from both of these vendors and couldn't be happier. B&B is lucky to have a wealth of great vendors who seem to constantly raise the bar for customer service.

It's great to hear things like this in a world of no-customer-service at box stores. I am looking forward to trying both of these vendors in the future.

I am somewhat frugal, but look at everything I purchase with a bang for my buck, or how efficient is it attitude. I absolutely love high quality stuff, and sometimes can even afford it! That said, customer service is number one for me and I don't mind paying a bit more for it, sometimes we loose touch in this world of internet purchases, e-mail communications, and standardized minimum shipping costs. So a shout out for a few here who have been great to me as far as responses, and realistic shipping- Bullgoose, and Mystic Water! Both Phil and Michelle give me the kind of service I expect without me having to ask for any extra attention. I expect I'll be adding a few more vendors to this thread shortly!

This is a very valid post to the OP.

Both people mentioned are absolutely incredible, I think this is the result of talking direct to someone in charge, and not a customer service representative a few thousand miles away.

Good to hear positive things!

Warren Buffett was on the news the other day, having given a talk over in Cleveland. One thing he was reported to have said was that Customer Service is the most important thing in business.

FreddyG, thanks for taking your time to post a positive customer experience. While I have not dealt with QCS, I have dealt with Mark & Megan from WD and cannot praise their customer service enough. They are absolutely top notch and I would be happy to deal with them now or anytime in the future!
