All,
As I mentioned in a previous post, NW Vermont is rather light on the shave gear...then I hit Shelburne Museum, in Shelburne VT and specifically the vintage General Store and mock Apothecary. Put simply, the vintage display was stunning!
Barber poles, chairs, mugs, brushes and row upon row of vintage Str8s....then, to top it off, the vintage Apothecary had vintage full jars of shave cream, Bay rum etc (in the midst of thousands of boxes, jars etc of vintage medicines, ointments)...most between 100-150 years old!
None of the stuff was for sale of course, but it was amazing to see. The display was set up to look like how a General Store, Apothecary, Barber Shop, Dentist and Optometrist looked 100-150 years ago.
HIGHLY recommended if you happen to be heading up towards Lake Champlain.
